Presentation

 

Ines G. Županov est  historienne, directrice de recherche au CNRS et co-directrice du CEIAS (EHESS) à Paris. Auteure de Disputed Mission; Jesuit Experiments and Brahmanical Knowledge in Seventeenth-Century India (Oxford University Press, New Delhi, 1999),  de Missionary Tropics;  The Catholic Frontier in India (16 th-17th centuries) (University of Michigan Press, Ann Arbor, 2005), et avec A. Barreto Xavier, Catholic Orientalism ; Portuguese Empire, Indian Knowledge, 16th-18th c. (Oxford University Press, New Delhi, 2015).  Ella a codirigé sept autres livres et ses articles sont parus dans des ouvrages collectifs et dans des revues scientifiques (Annales, Representations, Etnosistemi, Studies in History, Indian Economic and Social History Review, Archives de sciences sociales des religions, Journal of Early Modern History, Revista de Cultura, Itinerario, etc.). Elle a enseigné l'histoire moderne en Inde (Jawaharlal Nehru University,Delhi), aux États-Unis (Université de Californie à Berkeley) ainsi qu'à Paris (EHESS).
